One video, two pathways:
why the same lesson
lands differently
Every day of the programme, everyone watches the same short video and makes the same decision. Then the lesson splits in two: a Restore challenge and an Optimize challenge. Same knowledge, different application — because "do more of the right thing" is not equally available to everyone.
Two pathways, one switch
Restore is for people with mild, stable low energy or slow recovery — no exercise targets, no graded increases, low-load mode available. Optimize is for generally healthy adults interested in sustainable performance, resilience and longevity. You can switch at any time; a hard month and an easy month may want different pathways, and that is allowed.
The same lesson, twice
Take Day 2, daylight. Restore: if you feel up to it, five minutes near a window or outdoors — and skipping is fine. Optimize: ten to twenty minutes outside within an hour of waking, also when cloudy, never looking at the sun. Or Day 23, breathing: Restore gets one to two comfortable minutes, seated, no breath-holding; Optimize gets a two-minute reset before a demanding task. Neither is the advanced version of the other. They are two honest answers to the same lesson.
Who the programme is not for
Said plainly, because it matters: the founding cohort excludes ME/CFS, substantial post-exertional malaise and medically unstable or uninvestigated persistent fatigue. A short suitability screen is part of confirming a place — it is not a diagnosis. Where someone's situation needs a clinician, the programme's job is to hand off, not to fill in.
MITOMAXX is an educational programme, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are often tired and don't know why, talk to your doctor.
