60-DAY CELLULAR ENERGY RESET · FOUNDING COHORT FORMING

Understand your energy. Build habits that last.

A 60-day guided programme to learn how your energy regulation works — and build practical habits for sleep, recovery, nutrition and appropriate activity. Education and behaviour support, not diagnosis or treatment.

SUBJECT: ONE ORDINARY DAY UNIT: SELF-REPORTED ENERGY % NOTE: THE AFTERNOON DIP IS REAL — AND HAS MORE THAN ONE CAUSE

01 DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

You are doing the right things,
but it does not quite add up

Many adults in midlife notice their energy becoming less predictable. Not through illness or lack of effort, but through a gap between what they know and what they consistently put into practice.

FLUCTUATE

Energy that fluctuates

You can perform well, but not reliably. Some days feel sharp and fluid; others you feel flat with no clear reason.

RECOVER

Recovery takes longer

After a demanding week, a poor night's sleep or a hard training session, you notice your body needs more time to bounce back than it used to.

FOCUS

Mental clarity feels inconsistent

Focus drifts mid-morning, decisions feel slower in the afternoon. Nothing serious, but noticeable enough to want to do something about it.

HABITS

Your habits are already decent

You sleep reasonably well, move regularly, watch what you eat. But the practical link between those habits and your energy levels is still missing.

02 OUR APPROACH

Practical knowledge,
connected to daily life

MITOMAXX connects insights on cellular energy with practical habits around nutrition, sleep, movement and recovery. This is not about a supplement or a quick fix. It is about understanding the connections that already exist in your body and that you can influence yourself. The theory serves the practice, not the other way around.

Nine blocks, one thread: the energy your cells make, and how your daily choices shape it. The week-by-week detail follows in the programme section.

MITOCHONDRIA, EXPLAINED

The power plant in every cell

Almost every cell in your body contains mitochondria. They turn food and oxygen into ATP, the molecule your cells use to do work. How energetic you feel depends on much more than that: sleep, stress, food, illness. The programme covers both.

03 THE 60-DAY PROGRAMME

One video a day.
One decision. One action.

A 60-day guided programme to learn how energy regulation works and build practical habits for sleep, recovery, nutrition and appropriate activity. Every day: one short video, one decision, a Restore and an Optimize challenge (all optional), an optional check-in and one recall item. Education and behaviour support — not diagnosis, treatment or proof of mitochondrial repair.

WEEK 1 · DAYS 01–07

Foundations and first wins

What energy is — and isn't. Daylight, sleep anchors, the afternoon dip, pacing, food first, and one habit to keep.

WEEK 2 · DAYS 08–14

Circadian foundations

Light timing for your own schedule, naps, caffeine and alcohol, sleep pressure and the bedroom — closing with a review and live Q&A.

WEEK 3 · DAYS 15–21

Food and energy

Fuel, protein and recovery, micronutrients, hydration without extremes, blood-sugar context, and food patterns instead of dogma.

WEEK 4 · DAYS 22–28

Stress and nervous system

Stress physiology, slow breathing, rest as a skill, mental load, social connection and mind–body links without magical claims.

WEEK 5 · DAYS 29–35

Movement and adaptation

Movement and mitochondria, why muscle matters, intensity vs post-exertional malaise, recovery, and progression vs pacing.

WEEK 6 · DAYS 36–42

Metabolic flexibility

Fuel switching, meal timing, fasting trade-offs, hormesis, oxidative stress and the supplement evidence ladder.

WEEK 7 · DAYS 43–49

Ancestral stressors, modern evidence

Red light, heat, cold, NAD+, CoQ10 and urolithin A — weighed by population, endpoint and stop rules.

WEEK 8 · DAYS 50–56

Consolidation

Habits that survive busy days, travel and shift work, support without pressure, weekly rhythm — and simplifying before you add.

WEEK 9 · DAYS 57–60

Your next chapter

Energy myths revisited, a useful conversation with your clinician, a plan for predictable setbacks — and the two habits you’ll keep.

EVERY CLAIM CARRIES ONE OF FOUR EVIDENCE LABELS — APPLIED IN A WEEKLY EVIDENCE NOTE

ESTABLISHED PROMISING UNCERTAIN UNSUPPORTED

Established = strong agreement in the research · Promising = early research, not settled · Uncertain = not shown to work in practice · Unsupported = a myth, with the correction.

DAY 02
DAYLIGHT

RESTOREIf you feel up to it, 5 minutes near a window or outdoors. Skipping is fine.

OPTIMIZE10–20 minutes outside within an hour of waking — also when cloudy. Never look at the sun.

DAY 11
CAFFEINE & ALCOHOL

RESTORENotice how caffeine feels to you; no forced cut-off.

OPTIMIZETrial a caffeine cut-off 8 hours before bed for one week.

DAY 23
BREATHING

RESTORE1–2 minutes of comfortable slow breathing, seated. No breath-holding.

OPTIMIZEA 2-minute reset before one demanding task. No hyperventilation methods.

DAY 31
INTENSITY

RESTOREWatch for delayed worsening after activity; if it happens, tell your clinician and tell us.

04 ABOUT MITOMAXX

Adrian van Iersel — founder of MITOMAXX FOUNDER · MITOMAXX

Adrian van Iersel

FOUNDER · RESEARCHER BY NECESSITY

I am not a doctor and I do not present myself as one. My interest in cellular energy came from a personal search: years of persistent fatigue that could not be explained by too little sleep or not enough exercise.

That led me to research around nutrition, recovery, sleep rhythm and how those factors work together at a cellular level. Gradually I started connecting dots that did not show up in the standard advice I had been following.

MITOMAXX is where I want to turn those insights into something practical and accessible. Not as proof that I have the answers, but as an invitation to explore together what actually works.

What drives me is the practical side: what can you do differently today, and why does it matter?

05 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Quick answers

What exactly is the programme?

A 60-day guided programme — one common video a day (2–4 minutes, with subtitles, an audio-only version and a transcript), one decision, a Restore and an Optimize challenge (all optional), an optional check-in and one recall item. Education and behaviour support, not diagnosis, treatment or proof of mitochondrial repair.

Is MITOMAXX a supplement?

No. MITOMAXX is an educational programme about how energy regulation works — explicitly not a supplement or a quick fix, and never supplement dosing or medication advice.

Who is it for?

Two pathways, and you can switch at any time. Restore is for people with mild, stable low energy or slow recovery; Optimize is for generally healthy adults interested in sustainable performance, resilience and longevity.

Who is it not for?

The founding cohort excludes ME/CFS, substantial post-exertional malaise and medically unstable or uninvestigated persistent fatigue. Pregnancy-related or acute illness concerns are referred to a clinician. A short suitability screen is part of confirming your place — a screen is not a diagnosis.

How much time does it take each day?

Around five minutes: one video, one decision, one action. Weeks close with a review day, and there are four live Q&As (Days 14, 28, 42 and 56). An optional 30-day maintenance sequence follows the programme.

What happens after I join the waiting list?

You receive a double opt-in email, then an invitation to a free 30-minute info session. Places are confirmed only after a suitability check. The founding cohort is limited to 20 places.

What does it cost?

Founding price €249 [INCL./EXCL. VAT — to be confirmed]. Start and closing dates will be announced together with the info session.

Is Adrian a doctor?

No — and he says so himself. His knowledge comes from a personal search through years of unexplained fatigue, followed by research into nutrition, recovery, sleep rhythm and mitochondrial function.
